To be QAI-Certified as organic, a product must contain no less than 95% organic ingredients and be grown and handled free of pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides. Both our ingredients and our manufacturing facility are QAI-certified as organic and we use only environmentally-safe cleaning methods with no pesticides. We also insist on a lot-number by lot-number audit trail so if a consumer calls about any of our products, we can actually trace every ingredient back to individual farmers to ensure purity. Our tea was one of the first non-GMO (Genetically-Modified Organisms) varieties on the market. For example, a primary ingredient in many bottled teas is high-fructose corn syrup. This is noteworthy since over half of the corn grown in the U.S. may come from genetically-modified seeds.
